Casting Overview
When the handsome, young son of a wealthy Roman family meets the love of his life only to lose her at once, he rejects his parents’ plans for him and travels to France to reclaim his lost love and own life.
Directed by Paul James McDonnell and produced by Gold Star Films & The Film Artists.
Shooting mid-July for 7/8 weeks in Italy.
Roles
EVA Supporting actor; she is the protagonist's love interest. Pretty, fun, confident but modest. Eva had to grow up fast (as did her brother Antoine) because they lost their parents and she had to run their family business while he finished his law degree. She's a florist.
Long blonde hair, not tall. Please specify your height. She needs to be a good swimmer for some underwater filming; please confirm this.

ANTOINE Supporting actor; man of few words, smokes (cigarettes or cigars), mysterious, oblivious to his good looks, loyal to his fiancée Giulia. He's Eva's brother. Maybe blonde/light brown hair.
Tall - please specify height - and handsome. Must be able to swim - please confirm.

XAVIER Supporting actor; Eva’s boyfriend. He’s a car mechanic.
He’s solid, maybe a few tattoos (please specify if you have), an aggressive-looking resting face. Mid-height / tall. Violent temper - hot head. Short cropped hair (most likely).

GIULIA Supporting actor; born to a British mother and Italian father. Giulia is very intelligent, she got a full scholarship to study Law. She briefly spent time involved in supporting the Italian Communist Party. Giulia isn’t very tall, she has a face that shows a lot of experience for her age, she is judgemental of the wealthy.
Brown - light brown hair (even red) - her eyes have a piercing gaze. Rebellious. Actress must know how to swim.
Speaks with a perfect British accent - she’s half British, half Italian.

MARINA Supporting actor; Marina is small, with long wavy thick black hair, pretty but haughty, snooty. Slight build, fit, only wears designer labels. Foxy look. Leighton Meester had the look in her early days on Gossip Girl. She's the protagonist's girlfriend, even if the relationship was arranged by their parents.
Speaks Italian mother tongue and needs to know how to speak English very fluently.

RICCARDO Supporting actor; he was Ascanio's best friend but becomes his antagonist by becoming the lover of Ascanio's girlfriend, Marina. Ideally similar to the Canadian actor Richard Harmon.
Ideally brown hair, tall, light eyes, intense gaze, and a slightly unpleasant, grumpy face.

GIANNI Supporting actor; a young, Italian Jonah Hill. Scruffy, very wealthy, shirts often have buttons misaligned - wears an expensive suit but with the sleeves roll-up. Rides a brand new black Vespa but is covered in scratches.

Mid-height, slightly overweight. Needs to know how to ride a moped - please confirm.

STEFANO Supporting actor; a cool person, outgoing, very eccentric, always available and sociable, the person you call to have fun. Friend of Ascanio.
